King Crimson "The Power To Believe"Tour Box 2003

When King Crimson hit the road in 2003 in support of The Power to Believe (2003), they brought with them this very interesting piece of multimedia memorabilia only available at live shows. The Power to Believe Tour Box (2003) includes both a glossy 20-page, full-color book as well as a 65-minute audio CD containing excerpts from recent interviews as well as a few musical nuggets that almost got away. The contents are smartly boxed in a standard Amaray case -- the same that retail DVDs are packaged in. The disc commences with seven tracks (approximately 16 minutes) taken from a pre-tour press conference.

Disc one was filmed at the Kouseinenkin Kaikan in Tokyo, Japan, on 16 April 2003 during the tour promoting The Power to Believe. It is presented in non-anamorphic 1.66:1 format. Zooming the image is required on widescreen TVs to avoid black bars on all four sides. Also included, as an extra feature, is an excerpt from the sound and camera check before the show. In addition, the CD EleKtrik: Live in Japan features most of the audio of this concert.

The Power To Believe, originally issued in 2003 is King Crimson’s final studio album, to date. Drawing in part on material issued on the 2001 live mini-album Level 5 and the 2002 studio mini-album Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With, the album represented the final statement from the double duo which had recorded and toured from 2000.

Nos encontramos  en el 2003 con la misma formación que en “The construkction of life”, si bien en dicho álbum los precedentes se encuentran en los projekcts,  en este “The power to believe”, además de los projekcts, destaca el trabajo llevado a cabo en la gira que realizaron como teloneros del grupo Tool en noviembre de 2001, hecho que podríamos equiparar con la gira de los 80 en la cual teloneaban a Roxy Music.
