Here we have the tenth show of this 1995 European Tour – While waiting for definitive notes from Sid the Smith, Stormy’s thoughts are as follows. Paris is great on any night, but with Crimson in town it’s rockin’ A good rendition of Discipline sets up the evening and we’re away!

His personal highlights were, yes you guessed it Discipline, a Solid Coda Marine 475, a Solid Red ( solid must be another drumming term) the Thrakking and a Funky People.Overall, a very good show

As any fan fortunate enough to have seen the double trio lineup will tell you – even by King Crimson’s high standards – this was a spectacular live band. While a return of King Crimson had been planned as early as 1990, it was only in 1992 that the idea of a double trio line-up emerged as the ideal and it took until 1994 to get all the necessary musicians and plans sufficiently in place.

"Almost always Robert, Trey and I soundcheck before Adrian. He likes to get in and out of the venue as soon as possible so he comes just before. The rest of us would come early, rehearse and practice all the way through. So it wasn't that peculiar that Adrian wasn't there right away. Then as it got closer to the end of soundcheck and he still wasn't there that's when the decision was made to offer a refund or have P3 play. It was fairly last minute." - Pat Mastelotto.

Fripp believed the Wiltern gig to be a major show and wanted to release it straight away. Belew agreed and a mix was partially completed but the tapes were lost. The planned record was shelved; superseded by B'Boom and the all-improv album, THRaKaTTaK.

I love Poland. And I'm not entirely sure why. I remember this feeling when we were here with the double trio. There was an incredible warmth. Perhaps it is Chopin, one of the classical composers who's music I most identify with. I don't know The venue tonight was doing a long run of Peter Pan. We just came in for the two nights and then they would go back to their Peter production. What this meant was that all of the stage props were behind us and just off the stage. There was the giant crocodile and the pirate ship and all sorts of other strange things.....Trey Gunn

Disc one was filmed at the Kouseinenkin Kaikan in Tokyo, Japan, on 16 April 2003 during the tour promoting The Power to Believe. It is presented in non-anamorphic 1.66:1 format. Zooming the image is required on widescreen TVs to avoid black bars on all four sides. Also included, as an extra feature, is an excerpt from the sound and camera check before the show. In addition, the CD EleKtrik: Live in Japan features most of the audio of this concert.

Si bien esto no era exactamente nuevo para la mayoría de los fanáticos (el disco 1 se ofreció como una descarga de wma unos años antes y el disco 2 se publicó como un lanzamiento del Collector's Club), estos discos tienen todo lo que hizo que esta línea en particular fuera tan genial. Ya había un álbum en vivo del trío doble con B'Boom de 1995 , pero que presentaba a la banda recién comenzando y aún no había alcanzado su punto máximo.

Live in Vienna was recorded on 1 December 2016 at Museumsquartier in Vienna, Austria. The first two discs of Live in Vienna cover the entire first and second sets of the concert. The third disc on the original Japanese release was a bonus disc featuring live tracks from King Crimson's 2015 tour of Japan. On the main release, the third disc comprises one of the band's first performances of "Fracture" since 1974, two encores from the show in Vienna, and newly sequenced pieces with excerpts from Robert Fripp's soundscapes edited into them.
