Available for retail simultaneously with the 2017 King Crimson North American tour, the Elements 2017 tour box is presented with 2CDs with extracts from rehearsals, new live recordings, elements from studio recordings, full tracks, alternate takes & finished recordings from 1969-2016, many of which make their first appearance on CD. Every line-up of the band is featured across the 2CD set. Of particular interest on the new set is the inclusion on disc 2, for the first time in KC history on a single disc, of every part of Larks' Tongues in Aspic (some studio, some live) from Part I to Level 5 - interspersed with elements taken from the original studio sessions & rehearsals. The Elements of King Crimson is a box set series by King Crimson. Originally created to promote the band's 2014 tour of the same name, it's sold exclusively through the band's merchandise booth on the tour and from the Discipline Global Mobile online stores. The first box's content was less focused on actual songs and more on song "elements"; extracts of studio recordings, alternate takes, mixes with one or two instruments isolated, live recordings and rehearsals; the tour box was the first CD release for most of the tracks included.
