Here we have the tenth show of this 1995 European Tour – While waiting for definitive notes from Sid the Smith, Stormy’s thoughts are as follows. Paris is great on any night, but with Crimson in town it’s rockin’ A good rendition of Discipline sets up the evening and we’re away!

His personal highlights were, yes you guessed it Discipline, a Solid Coda Marine 475, a Solid Red ( solid must be another drumming term) the Thrakking and a Funky People.Overall, a very good show

As any fan fortunate enough to have seen the double trio lineup will tell you – even by King Crimson’s high standards – this was a spectacular live band. While a return of King Crimson had been planned as early as 1990, it was only in 1992 that the idea of a double trio line-up emerged as the ideal and it took until 1994 to get all the necessary musicians and plans sufficiently in place.

Despite having played over 150 gigs, and released four albums it was all over far too soon as the double-trio King Crimson came to Philadelphia - a city which had seen some storming performances in the past - to give its final performance in front of an audience.

Fripp believed the Wiltern gig to be a major show and wanted to release it straight away. Belew agreed and a mix was partially completed but the tapes were lost. The planned record was shelved; superseded by B'Boom and the all-improv album, THRaKaTTaK.

The double trio represented a more decided return to being an improvisational band after King Crimson's largely form-focused '80s incarnation, of which only one of its three studio recordings has, thus far, received the 40th Anniversary treatment: 1981's groundbreaking Discipline, which introduced an entirely different Crimson, featuring the group's sole remaining founding member (Fripp) and the only holdover from the '72-'74 group, (Bruford). But the double trio was still heavily predicated on structure—whether it was blistering instrumentals or some of the most radio-friendly songs Crimson had released to date—and so a box containing a large number of live recordings would simply have been overkill.

King Crimson "The VROOOM Sessions 1994" CLUB8 - 1999- Collectors' Club

The 8th Collectors' Club release (December, 1999 / January, 2000). This is a series of snapshots from the VROOOM rehearsals at Applehead Studios, Woodstock, New York, April-May 1994, which lead to the VROOOM EP. This release consists mostly of unreleased compositions (no vocals) that did not get finished and used on the ensuing albums.

King Crimson On Broadway is a live album (2-CD set) by the band King Crimson, released through the King Crimson Collectors' Club in July 1999. The tracks on the albums were recorded at the Longacre Theater in New York City, New York, US, on November 20, 21, 22, 24 and 25, 1995, as the band was touring to promote the album THRAK.In 2002 King Crimson released a live album (2-CD set) entitled Vrooom Vrooom that features one disc with recordings from the Broadway concerts (as well as one disc with recordings from a concert in Mexico one year later).

Déjà Vrooom is a live DVD by the band King Crimson, released in 1999 as a double-sided disc and reissued in 2007 as a double-layer disc. It was recorded at Nakano Sun Plaza, Nakano, Tokyo, Japan, 5-6 October 1995. Video recordings from these performances were first released as the Japanese LaserDisc Live in Japan, in 1996, and the audio soundtrack was released on CD as The Collectible King Crimson Volume 5.

Some tracks later appeared on the live albums Cirkus: The Young Persons' Guide to King Crimson Live (1999) and Vrooom Vrooom (2001), and as part of the expanded "THRAK BOX" in 2015.
